Job Description
In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Work with multi-departmental teams within Philips Organization.
As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for providing Supplier Quality engineering support to our Global supply base.
This position will directly support Coffee Business Unit, new supplier and product programs, and provide direct support of Global Supplier Quality and transfer activities. You will have oversight and active review and management of non-conformance, creation and review of quality metrics, and developing and maintaining effective working relationships with suppliers consistent with quality and business goals.
You are responsible for:
- Implementing Quality Engineering, Purchasing Controls and Supplier Quality processes related to the development, procurement and continuous improvement of manufacturing materials, components, software, sub-assemblies, contract manufactured finished devices/products or services, and their introduction into Philips supply chain.
- Completes Qualification of materials and components (including spare parts), development/ improvement of supplier processes for CtQ's, supplier process control plans; ensuring that the supplied part meets specifications, and the control limits/tolerances for CtQ parameters are met.
- Qualifies and sustains sub-processes of suppliers, including performing process validations for critical supplier processes impacting part quality.
- Ensures that the components/products at the supplier (including spare parts and services) are released according agreed specification and quality requirements (MQA/APQP / PPAP), and SQ audit results.
- Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and/or procedures for regulated products/processes. Ensure raw material and component specs and drawings are translated to supplier quality requirements, qualify suppliers, assess metrics of whether supplier products meet quality specifications, and audit suppliers critical to quality processes.
- xecutes SCAR management, effective and timely closure and Review/risk assessment of QN's and their escalation to SCARs where needed.
You are part of the Philips SQE team and will be based in our Orastie office. You will regularly travel to our supplier locations and collaborate with many teams inside and outside Philips organization.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline as well as electronics experience is required
- 2+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality Engineering
- Very good working knowledge of MS Office; additionally, SAP is an advantage
- Fluent in English
- Good communication and influencingkills, team player
- Pro-active and can do attitude, ability to work under time/quality pressure, attention to details
