Job description 

We are currently looking for an experienced MS-SQL developer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing optimized MS-SQL queries and procedures, optimize and fine tune existing ones, as well as improving database infrastructure. They will also be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance, troubleshooting performance issues, reviewing newly developed scripts. 

Responsibilities: 

• Development of high-quality database solutions 

• Develop, implement, maintain, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL • Review, implement, maintain, and optimize indexes 

• Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements 

• Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements 

• Suggest new queries 

• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration 

• Provide timely scheduled management reporting 

About Company: 

Small SAAS company in the healthcare industry is looking for a full-time developer to join our existing team. The core of our applications is written with Microsoft technologies. The developer will be responsible for completing tasks from our backlog (new features and bug fixes) and will also be an integral part of our effort to refactor existing code to new standards. We are looking for a motivated developer with a proven record of creating clean, elegant code and the ability to work with the QA team to resolve any issues and get features into the customers’ hands. The developer will also participate in daily standups and Scrum planning sessions with the rest of the development team. 

Requirements: 

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or a related subject 

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a (Microsoft) SQL Developer, Database Administrator, or similar role 

• Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming 

• Excellent understanding of Performance Tuning techniques, including - Indexing, T-SQL performance best practices, Query Plans, etc. 

• Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
