Senior Test Automation Engineer

Develops and maintains test asset used for tailoring phase automated testing activities. Influences study design to maximize testability and automation potential and performs testing and quality assurance tasks. Manages own assignments and schedule, and serves as a resource for other departments on issues relating to the test modules. Operates under moderate supervision and interacts with R&D test automation architect to maximize the re-usability of already existing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develops and enhances the Automated Software Testing environment and test asset (test cases, scripts, tools, environments, frameworks and other solutions) for selected tailoring projects;

• Constantly evaluating the test automation strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement;

• Influences software design to maximize testability and automation potential. May receive testing assignments from CS-delivery teams as the Verification Specialists.

• Works directly with R&D testing services team related to test automation solutions;

• Maintaining test automation assets when products are developed and changed;

• Executing, analyzing and fixing automation related defects and supporting software designers using automated systems;

• Proactive testing, finding new problems, analyzing them, and supporting software designers in corrective actions;

• Performs code reviews for the test automation code;

• Managing and tracking bugs/anomalies and verifying bug fixes and improving working methods.

   

• M.Sc/B.Sc Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems;

• Proven practical and theoretical knowledge of Software Testing;

• Strong understanding of OOP principles and engineering practices;

• 2 years of experience in Automation w/ direct scripting and coding;

• 1 year of experience in Automation design or in development;

• 1 years of experience with Agile methodologies and continuous integration processes;

• User experience with Selenium, Appium and Robot Frame Work or similar solutions and happy to use Python;

• Familiar with Git, Jenkins, XML processing;

• Practical experience with any modern test, defect and requirement management tools;

• Proficient in collecting test metrics, analysing results of test execution and creating comprehensive automation summary reports;

• Good verbal and written communication in English language.

• Basic knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases;

• Able to accurately estimate task durations and meet schedules;

• Strong analytical skills, able to provide support to solve business or production problems;
