For our office in Bucharest, Romania or Prishtina, Kosovo we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Network Administrator Network Operations Center (Job-ID:to join our international team at the earliest possible date.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Designs, and implements complex network infrastructure based on Cisco technologies with an emphasis on core Data Centre locations
• Collaborates in the development of new network designs and in long term vision network communication architecture
• Provide highest level of operational support, incident resolution, including response to escalations, proactively notifying of network issues, assessing and communicating business impact
• Develops and documents network infrastructure models, diagrams, processes and procedures, as well as development and composition of new concepts, architectures and solutions
• Ensures network and business continuity through the implementation and management of redundant and disaster/recovery procedures and location
• Develops and executes contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages
• Utilizes monitoring, performance analysis, network management software to troubleshoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activity
• Identifies and resolves communication hardware and software related failures and issues
• Analyses, identifies, and resolves network infrastructure operational issues related to voice and data communication. Assists in the support of all server and storage platforms that communicate through the network
• Studies vendor products to determine which best meet organization need; assists in gathering of information that will be presented to management resulting in purchase and installation of network equipment
• Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
• Mentors to less experienced engineers
• Continuously documents network infrastructure and changes affecting it
• Analyzes metrics to identify optimization opportunities and utilization/capacity trends
• Ensures accurate and consistent updates to the Configuration Management Database
• Assists the Change Management process in assessing the impact of the non-standard requests for change
• Assists the Release Management process during the release cycle, developing standardized configuration items
• Assists the Availability Management and IT Continuity Management by providing data for projected service availability analysis for the focus solutions
• Participates in the Capacity Management process with planning for future acquisitions and upgrades to equipment and software in the areas of the focus solutions
• Provides afterhours (rotational) support as needed for problem analysis and resolution

Requirements:

• University degree, preferably in computer science or high school degree combined with relevant experience
• Working knowledge of English language
• 5+ years overall experience with Cisco Network Solutions: (active CCNP or CCIE - a strong plus); previous work in an international company desirable
• Strong technical skills in network administration and architecture
• Strong troubleshooting experience of Cisco routers switches
• Solid understanding of Cisco internetworks, routing and switching and related protocols, LAN/WAN is required
• Experience with Cisco Nexus (7K, 6k, 9k, 5K, 2K)
• Solid understanding of Trunking, VLANs, L2, L3, quality of service (QoS), Security
• Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or a solid background in network administration and architecture
• Proven experience with network services and dynamic routing (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VRF, QoS, HSRP, IPSLA, IPSec, SNMP, RADIUS, TACACS…)
• Senior level experience designing, implementing, and supporting network and security services in mission-critical production data center environments. Ability to identify source of performance issues (bottlenecks, packet loss, routing)
• Deep understanding of core networking technologies including: routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), AAA (ACL, , encryption), remote connectivity (client VPN, multi-vendor site-to-site VPN)
• Expertise in network monitoring, management and troubleshooting tools (solarwinds, bgplay, wireshark/tcpdump, etc.)
• Availability to travel
• Availability to work outside of business hours, based on demand or needs
• Good knowledge of hardware and networking
• Customer oriented, reliable and accountable team player
• Capable to work on-demand and to work effectively under stress
• Flexible and adaptable personality, good organizing and prioritizing skills
• Imagination, capacity to find innovative solutions
• ITIL Foundation (preferably)
• Candidate is expected to have a solid moral compass, a high level of ownership and desire to work in a high tempo working environment
