Job responsibilities:

  • Is responsible for the development and implementation of loss prevention programs and projects and integration with HSSE and external agencies and general administrative and operational security, in alignment with senior management and overall security strategy
  • Provides support in data collection for entry into information storage and perform necessary research and intelligence data analysis to further assist the department in solving the occurrence and/or preventing security incidents;
  • Holds holistic overview on loss prevention processes and projects portfolio to support line manager in optimum planning of activities and constant and continuous flow of activity and maintain efficiency
  • Holds overall responsibility for assigned loss prevention programs and projects and for the identification of drivers for the development of future loss prevention strategy
  • Manages assigned loss prevention programs and projects, incl. by means of on-site visits; has high level confidentiality clearance and makes sure project stakeholders are informed in strict compliance with pre-set confidentiality levels
  • Is responsible and pro-actively drives the identification of vulnerabilities and criticalities in business divisions, conducting risk evaluations and analyses and developing conclusions to be integrated in the overall loss prevention strategy
  • Contributes with professional expertise and innovative input to the development of an integrated loss prevention strategy, incl. defining and monitoring of KPIs
  • Constantly challenges processes and results in order to make use of synergies and improvement potentials
  • Supports line manager in ensuring security programs efficiency, under consideration of department priorities, available resources and budgetary targets
  • Acts as trusted counselor in security matters to management and other relevant positions; applies the ability to analyze situation specific details while maintaining holistic overview in order to develop solution proposals in accordance with OMV sustainability procedures and objective
  • Challenge processes in order to improve compliance with varied business conditions
  • Acts as deputy to line manager; takes over authority by delegation from line manager on project/ program level, in all matters concerning project scope or as instructed
  • Applies professional expertise to ensure compliance with targets and budgetary constraints

Requirements:

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Ideally, at least 10 years work experience in the security field
  • Strong leadership and excellent presentation skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Persuasiveness, facilitation skills, ability to represent the company in external forums, highly developed emotional intelligence and cultural awareness
  • Proven ability to work on complex issues with minimal supervision
  • Highly innovative
  • Strong ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Strong knowledge of communications equipment (., radio and satellite telephone systems), protocols, systems and usage
  • Advanced English spoken and written communication skills required
  • Project and program management certifications & risk management are an advantage
  • Multilateral professional development acquired by working in several industries/ fields of activity and with different information systems and applications is an advantage
  • Operational oil and gas industry background is an advantage
