Senior Engineering Manager

Position Summary: 
The Senior Manager, Software Engineering leads the software development teams in planning and strategizing for multiple projects, products and deliverables. The senior manager will be responsible for managing these projects, making detailed plans to accomplish development goals, apply appropriate resources, and manage the people on the development team. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with Development, User Experience, Support, Sales, Marketing and other teams to define requirements and drive the shape and functionality of a product
• Evangelize and champion the roadmap and strategy to customers, and customer-facing technical and sales teams
• Work with other Product Managers, Product Marketing and Team Leaders to respond to customer situations and assess enhancement requests and requirements against business needs and long-term priorities
• Contribute in strategy and process discussions
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally 

Required Skills and Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in a software lead or management position in an applications development environment
• Proven management skills and the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of professionals capable of achieving aggressive business goals and objectives
• Knowledge of industry standard software best practices, development lifecycle processes
• Strong knowledge, understanding and hands-on experience with the tools used throughout the software development lifecycle
• Strong knowledge, understanding and hands-on experience with project scheduling, estimation and associated tools
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance best principles, practices, and policies
• Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks; attention to detail
• Outstanding interpersonal skills; proven ability to work effectively with technical contributors, management and executive leadership.
