  • Our project entitled Doped oxide nanoparticles: From local structure to long – range perspective via luminescence ( PN-III-P4-ID-PCE- 2016-0305 is focused on lanthanide's doped nano-oxides. This research involves the application of powerful set of complimentary techniques and methods that include in situ/ex situ RAMAN and X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray and optical excited luminescence spectroscopy. Specifically, this position involves optical spectroscopy related experiments and data analysis.
  • Job Description: The successful candidate will work in optical spectroscopy domain studying the luminescence of the lanthanide doped nano-oxides.

The Main Activities Of The Candidate Consist Of

  • Configuring the experimental setup and acquisition of optical spectroscopy measurements such as: emission spectra, excitation spectra, decay, the dependence of emission intensity with the laser pulse energy, X-ray excited optical luminescence etc.;
  • Data interpretation;
  • Contribution to the writing of scientific papers;

    • Selection process

  • Selection of the candidates based on CV and list of publications.
  • Interview

    • The Application Files Should Include
    • Cover letter stating motivation for enrollment in a research program;
    • Curriculum vitae, including the scientific publication list – if exists;
    • Copies of study documents (high school graduation certificate, bachelor certificate with transcript of records, Master certificate with transcript of records, and PhD certificate – if exists);
    • Copies of: Birth certificate, ID card (passport), civil status certificate;
    • Copy of working contracts/work experience/proof of enrolment in a PhD program – if exists.
    • REQUIRED LANGUAGES

      ROMANIAN: Mother Tongue

    Skills/Qualifications

  • Ability to work both individually and in a team;
  • Ability and willingness to learn new things;

    • Specific Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of optical spectroscopy and lanthanide physics.
  • Solid knowledge of English.
  • Good PC operation skills (Windows, Office, Origin, LabView etc.).
  • Work experience in research and development sector will be a plus.
