The Optimisation Project manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, executive, control and completion of the optimization projects. The project manager ensures that the projects remain aligned with target set, budget, benefits goals. The Project Manager also manages the stakeholders of the project to get them informed on progress and achieved delivery or escalations if required.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement projects
  • Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Creation and appropriate use of all required project management tools
  • Upward reporting of progress, issues and required actions/decisions to parties involved in governance
  • Manage of project team members in delivery of individual responsibilities
  • Collect and manage project team
  • Manage budget
  • Allocate project resources
  • Create schedule and project timeline
  • Track deliverables
  • Monitor and report on project progress
  • Present to Optimisation manager and programme board on progress as well as problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  • Evaluate and assess result of project

Core Relationships
  • SMEs – Effective relationships with BOC GPEs, GDAs, Functional SMEs and SMEs from other TOM dimensions to manage/support process improvement activities
  • Business Users – Manages the business requirements and change management to land the improvement in the business
  • Improve Governance Body – Manages the approval and progress through the BOC governance board bodies
  • Training – Ensures the training materials are updated and rolled out
  • Projects & Programmes Form effective working relationships with projects and Programmes to deliver all changes
  • Process Modellers Makes sure the process changes are delivered with updated process models

Skills And Experience
  • Three or more years project management experience
  • Prince or PMP certifications required, Preferable knowledge of SCRUM
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six sigma (preffered)
  • Attention for detail
  • Thrives in collaborative environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching and communication skills to motivate and influence.
  • Business process & IT change management experience
  • Self-starting, independent and tenacious in the pursuit of improvement
  • Language High proficiency in English (verbal and written)
