Must-have theoretical knowledge of low-level computing including, but not limited to: 
–I/O bus –process/ thread management 

–memory address abstraction 

–kernel architecture (micro, exo, mono) 

–resource allocation 

–cache coherence 

–hypervisors 

–OS virtualization 

–CPU emulation (caching etc) 

–Scheduling 

–RPC (remote procedure call) 

–distributed systems design 

–dynamic memory allocation 

–Lamport's logical clock (time stamping) 

–intimate knowledge of data Marshaling 

–access privileges management 

–page faults 

–cluster computing principles 

–distributed shared memory systems 

–CRC 

–network file systems 

–distributed file servers 

–Unix file system
