Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar function;
  • Effective in use of 3D-tools for design purpose (working knowledge of Pro Engineer / Creo – advantage);
  • Knowledge of PLM systems is an advantage;
  • Good knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing according to ISO standard;
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering field;
  • Customer oriented with good written and verbal skills to facilitate effective communication of technical ideas;
  • Fluent in English;
  • French language skills is a big advantage (if not, willingness to learn within 6 months)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and analyze input data: project requirements or product modifications are written in French or English; communicate with the requester in French or English in order to gather additional or missing information; estimate the necessary working time required for the job/task (together with the supervisor);
  • Search in CAD database for appropriate departing models which are similar to desired ones; codify the parts and drawing numbers according to specifications (sometimes collaboration with ERP codification specialists is necessary);
  • The conception of raw parts: aluminum injected, cast iron molded and/or welded; the conception of 3D parts and associated 2D drawings according to ISO standards;
  • The conception of machined parts; the conception of 3D parts and associated 2D drawings according to ISO standards;
  • The conception of 3D assembly and 2D associated drawings according to ISO standards: assembly drawings and bill of materials;
  • Participate in multiple projects; plan the work that needs to be done and reports the status of projects/tasks to the supervisor;
  • Verification and validation of principal stages of the project with the client: technical solution, technical project, detailed project; use long distance communication tools (telephone and screen sharing tools); communication is in French;
  • Verification of the quality of the delivered documentation: functionality, conception principles, compliance with technological restrictions, dimensioning, tolerances, verification of chained dimensions, etc.;
  • Deliver the final 3D parts, 3D assemblies, 2D drawings and/or other required deliverables (calculations, technical tables, etc.).
