Demonstrated background and studies relevant to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental aspect. Ability to understand regulatory compliance and improve overall HSE culture. Responsible for all related HSE activities to support the HBT organisation as directed, provide leadership and technical support to ensure compliance with applicable corporate and regulatory requirements. This role will also focus on minimizing risks and potential adverse HSE Health, Safety and Environmental Intern will report directly to the Regional HSE Director and will have a matrix reporting line to a respective HSE Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.(but are not limited to)

• Develops, recommends and implements practical, functional approaches to resolve safety, health and environmental issues in support of specific location and overall business strategies to achieve & improve HSE performance and regulatory compliance.
• Deployment of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems to comply with Honeywell and local regulatory requirements.
• Partners with business leaders and employees to continuously improve the HSE culture, HSE awareness and accountability systems.
• Lead utilisation of Risk Assessment Tool and control plans development within the country/site.
• Leads and participates in project with stakeholders and individually completes major project and supports use of project management tools and techniques (. Six Sigma SOM).nbsp;
• Develops and deploys HSE procedures, training, internal and external communications in conjunction with Corporate policy/procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Supports incident investigation activities such as root cause analysis, corrective action identification and ;
• Works closely with leaders to measure and communicate HSE trends and champions injury/illness or assists in management of emergency conditions and containment actions.
• Leads and participates in HSE inspections, self-assessments and findings to management and prepares corrective action ;
• Assures compliance to environmental management processes, including management of chemicals, wastes, and pollution ;
• Coordinates industrial hygiene programs, exposure assessments, and works closely with management team to assure implementation of medical surveillance ;
• Involved in HSE risk review and contractor management processes 
• Develops plans and supports specific bubble assignment projects or activities to support the HBT HSEPS annual operating plan or strategy
• Collates & reviews historical data analytics to identify specific areas in HSE performance for step change improvement opportunities.
• Partners with the specific HSE team members to accelerate key priorities and projects to over deliver on annual operating plan commitments.
• Travels to specific locations or sites to support improvement activities including training seminars. 

YOU MUST HAVE: 
▪ High School Diplomanbsp;
• Possess or working towards a . degree in safety engineering/management, environmental, industrial hygiene or related science or equivalent technical / engineering education.
