Front-end Developer Model Bank

Model Bank is a strategic program that aims to deliver a platform that offers all customers the same differentiating experience irrespective of the country they are in or the device they use to connect. Because Model Bank will be scalable, it can be extended to other countries, products and services.

The Model Bank will bring a high level of standardization and centralization to our systems, processes, data and way of working, aligned with other strategic initiatives of ING.

Your day to day

• Support for functional analysts, translating functional analysis into technical analysis and developments, together with the parties involved
  
• Workload estimations during the planning sessions
  
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
  
• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance
  
• Programming new applications and making changes in existing applications, writing well designed, testable, efficient code in a Javascript environment
  
• Investigate and give resolutions for defects (in test, acceptance or production environments)
  
• Pooling and sharing of knowledge on new applications and technologies used
  
• Contribute together with the rest of the team to continuous improvements of the development process
  
• Create release documents to support the deployments and the software after release
  
• What we are looking for
  
• University/Master degree in information technology
  
• More than 4 years of experience with web development in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
  
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with other Web Engineers in regards to problem solving and best practices
  
• Working experience with WebComponents (e.g.: Polymer)
  
• Working experience with web testing frameworks (e.g.: Mocha, Selenium). Would be a strong plus to have knowledge of Selenium
  
• Experience with build tools
  
• Experience with continuous deployment and continuous integration
  
• Experience with Polymer is a plus (willingness to learn it)
  
• Experience with Springboot, Soap/Rest, Hibernate and Docker – nice to have
  
• Experience in working in a cross-functional, Agile team
