The role is operationally responsible for managing the BAT Global Business Services (GBS) Business Cases and New scope transition into Business as Usual (BAU), including key associated controls, directly through line management of the finance function and, indirectly, through peers in respect of other functions.
The incumbent is a key member of the Finance Team, and Contribute in delivery of financial advice to the management team by timely and accurate financial information to enable effective and efficient decision-making.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
I. Business Cases (Projects)
- Maintains a clear audit trail of Business Cases (BCs) applicable to GBS, as part of World Class Finance or any other Global or GBS initiatives.
- Engage on a regular basis with relevant stakeholders to understand if any planned changes in the business case assumptions that might trigger a cost baseline change for GBS
- Quarterly updates provided to the central functions (World Class Finance) to explain the reported numbers and variances vs plan.
- Alignment with all other Finance workstreams (OHDS, Revenues and Global consolidation) to ensures costs and benefits from Business Case are properly reflected in the GBS Financials.
- Support provided to Global Planning & Reporting manager during quarterly reporting cycles by Consolidation of GBS BC costs and benefits by Function and by location
- Contribution for Business Case Post Implementation Review (when needed) in line with Group BC requirements
- Undertakes reviews & input into company’s projects and new scope migration into GBS that would require Finance support as part of transition into GBS
- Liaise with other GBS support functions in order to understand the finance support need for end-to-end processes; Develop controls & processes in projects which are then embedded into Finance support activities.
- Develop and maintain Documentation (including applicable controls) with the agreed way of working as part of transition.
- Support provide to Finance workstreams (OHDS, Revenues, Global coordinator) during transition period to BAU
- Develop and enhance standard reporting pack for GBS management to be implemented across GBS Centers.
- Drive Continuous Improvement and efficient ways of working, enhanced ability for innovation & value creation.
- Develop and embed an approach, leveraging the tools at our disposal to visualize the financials of GBS.
- Constantly improves systems and processes regarding monthly closing of the group books. Improves the efficiency, detail level, and decrease the necessary manual adjustments.
- Embed a way of working where the finance business partners provide insights to the business to enable better decision making.
- A sound financial background, professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/ CIMA) is a plus, with minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position in Shared Service organization or FMCG.
- Experience in business projects & change process implementations as well as managing financial results
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams, to both support & challenge. Excellent stakeholder management & business partnering skills.
- Self-starter and proactively drive for change
- Good knowledge of Shared Service environment and Financial processes
- Strong leadership skills in areas of influencing in & outside of own function & at senior management team level.
- A commercial approach to all activities.
- Excellent spreadsheet and general computer skills, including SAP, BPC and Power BI
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
