Summary Of Role
  • The Field Service Engineer will be executing commissioning, start-ups, repairs, diagnostics, maintenance, on call service and training for Emerson’s instrumentation and valve products portfolio at customer’s sites.
  • The Field Service Engineer is responsible for executing the scheduled work according to the Emerson standards of safety, ethics and quality.
Specific Job Responsibilities
  • Plan the site visits in accordance with the customer requirements, prepare and verify the required tools, materials/spare parts and safety equipment, make travel and living arrangements as required;
  • Check site safety and work procedures and obtain the work permit;
  • Adhere to company’s and customer’s HSEQ standards at all times;
  • Execute commissioning, start-ups, repairs, diagnostics, maintenance, configurations, calibrations, on call service and training for Emerson instrumentation and valve products portfolio at customer’s sites, according to Emerson Service Management Office procedures;
  • Write site/technical reports and obtain customer’s approval in due time;
  • If required, demonstrate to client and regulatory authorities, the system compliance to specifications and regulations.
  • Execute the requested job in the best way to meet customer’s deadlines and expectations;
  • Communicate issues concerning customer satisfaction or customer requests for Emerson support to the responsible person in Service Management or Sales Management;
  • Obtain and maintain personal Service Certifications and qualifications;
  • Be able and willing to perform emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient services;
  • Support Sales Engineers with technical solutions/details if requested;
  • Adhere to local and international Emerson Trade Compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices.
  • Follow Emerson procedures and guidelines.
  • Adhere to Emerson Automation Solutions Ethical values at all time.
Required Qualifications And Experience
  • Degree in an engineering discipline, such as automation, electrical, mechanical, computer science or control systems (minimum Technical College level)
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience from process industry, such as: Oil & Gas, Refineries, Chemical, Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English – written and spoken

  • Availability to work offshore, if applicable.
  • Driving license (class B)
