Job Description

As an engine/tech programmer you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining low level systems, engines, tools and technologies used in various mobile/console/pc games and applications and will be participating in the creation process along with the game design and art teams

• Analyze and understand the requirements of the game teams in order to define the required functionalities and engine systems, tools and technologies that must be developed to support them;
• Analyze innovations and features from other engines to help decide the best solutions and implementations for the current engine, tools and technologies;
• Collaborate with game designers/level designers/artists to examine the constraints of the existing engine;
• Suggest improvements whenever necessary by designing and implementing new systems or modifying existing systems;
• Develop the engine, tools and technologies according to the technical design documents and the programming rules already in place, in an optimized and efficient manner;
• Work with the teams to improve the production process and help in establishing best-practices;
• Diagnose and repair the most complex bugs, including creating systems to help in debugging;
• Document the code and design and share with the teams.
  
  

Qualifications

• Very good skills in C++ and at least three years of experience in C++ programming;
• Good knowledge in 3D mathematics (Linear algebra, arrays, vectors);
• Good knowledge of scripting languages (Lua/Python/Typescript);
• Previous experience in video game programming or other 3D applications (home made applications accepted);
• Experience with graphic libraries (OpenGLES, Metal, Vulkan, Direct 3D) is a plus
• Knowledge of the major 3D modeling and animation software is a plus;
• Knowledge of current game engines and tools (Unity/Unreal/Crytek/etc) or physics engines (Bullet/Physx/etc) is a plus;
• Knowledge of online communication and networking technologies is a plus;
• Creative problem solver, able to quickly learn and utilize unfamiliar concepts;
• Motivated, hard-working, thorough and able to work on a team.
