Key Responsibilities

The Endpoint Security Platform Engineer will be part of a 24x7 service delivery team responsible for operational security activities and management of Endpoint Security platforms. Additionally, they will handle escalations from Secureworks Security Operations Center (SOC).

• AV/ Antimalware threats detection and blocking; Encryption; Host-Based Firewall; Host-Based IPS; Device Control; Patch Management; Network Security Manager
• Understand and apply defense in depth strategies to the Client's environment and assist with technical security escalations and change management processes
• Responsible for understanding Client's security strategies, goals, objectives, capabilities, budget and culture
• Work to align the daily tasks and the projects on the Endpoint Security platforms in use
• Perform proactive platform management tasks when time permits to improve the customer security posture
• Perform other security and ITIL operations as required or assigned

Essential Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in cyber security
• Deep understanding and direct experience with major Endpoint Security (EPS) solutions like McAfee, Symantec, Carbon Black, Crowd Strike, Trend Micro, and other is a requirement
• Managed EPS solutions in large environments, with more thanworkstations andservers
• Experience with both Windows and Linux systems integrations and troubleshooting
• University education, degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Network and Security
• Detailed knowledge of security technologies and trends

Desirable Requirements

• Security Platforms Admin or Specialist certifications (McAfee, Crowd Strike, Carbon Black, Red Cloak, Symantec, etc.)
• Possess active industry certifications such as Comptia Security+, SSCP, GCIH, GCIA or related
• Working knowledge/experience of network systems security principles and applications
• Fundamental understanding of defense in depth strategies
