Your new role – challenging and future -oriented

• Define scalable distributed architectures targeting execution in cloud or on premise
• Implement distributed computing proof-of-concepts (PoCs), e.g. big data analytics
• Analyze, monitor, and optimize performance of distributed systems
• Write landscaping reports on technologies, tools, methodologies in context of distributed computing incl. recommendation (when to use what)
• Define, develop, and perform performance and scalability benchmarks leveraging / building tools created for this purpose
• Perform architectural reviews and present findings to software and business teams

Your Qualifications – Solid and Appropriate

• Experience with cloud architectures, e.g. AWS
• Experience with synchronous / asynchronous REST microservice development in e.g. Spring Boot
• Experience with pub-sub communication, e.g. RabbitMQ
• Experience with big data processing using Map-Reduce, e.g. Spark
• Experience with container technologies, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
• Comfortable in both Unix / Linux and Windows environments
• OOP experience in Java, e.g. Spring
• Ability to find root-causes for tough performance / scalability problems
• Experience in handling problems of load, scale, and optimizations of complex large-scale system deployments
• Performance profiling knowledge
• Fluent communication in English
