Job Summary
  • The role of the Quotation Desk Buyer is to plan, execute and conclude eSourcing events (RFx & eAuctions) in cooperation with Ericsson Sourcing Managers and their targeted suppliers.
  • Successful candidates will be responsible for:
    • Creating in the online system various eSourcing events (different categories of goods & services across different geographies)
    • Liaise with suppliers during the event from inviting them to participate to training them on how to use the online system
    • Clarify for the suppliers the objectives of the sourcing project, perform regular follow-ups and obtain quotations in timely manner
    • Providing updates to the Sourcing Managers on the progress of the event
    • Conducting sourcing activities and price negotiation for low value and/or low risk spend/categories/suppliers
Activities/Duties
  • Secures eSourcing RFQ event phases (plan, create, monitor and analyze of each event) happen as per expected timelines and service levels
  • Preparation of online RFQs packages and follow up to ensure on time completion
  • Answer supplier questions and advise on RFQ response required
  • Consolidation of RFQ responses
  • Daily follow-up on customer projects
  • Daily communication/interaction via email/phone with internal customers and suppliers
  • Handling daily customers & suppliers queries
  • Assist in or recommend suppliers based on both price and non-price factors
  • Conducts opportunity analysis for low risk and/or low value spend management and scout for better suppliers
  • Negotiate commercial terms (price, delivery date, payment terms) when requested by the Sourcing Manager and obtain better pricing conditions/discounts
  • Liaise with the internal customers to understand their requirements and close them in the given time frame
  • Perform & interpret basic spend analytics in order to identify best available market price for the ongoing project
  • Carry out all reporting requirements (e.g.: process/project status, progress, efficiency, savings etc.) accurately and within the specified time scales
  • Responsible for savings targets, timely deliveries, Customer Satisfaction
  • Responsible for reaching out to different Strategic Managers, gather information and even challenge stakeholders
  • Participate periodically to reviews with Sourcing Managers to ensure strategies are aligned and pipeline activity is proceeding
  • Build on existing knowledge of external best practices
  • Build good rapport with clients/vendors, Sourcing Managers
  • Escalates issues and concerns related to events success to Sourcing Manager and/or other Management functions
  • Manages suppliers complains to mutual benefit; if needed, escalates to Sourcing Manager, eSourcing Coordinator, Team Leader etc.
  • Serve as the liaison to the Sourcing Manager as well as Suppliers
  • Work with Sourcing Manager to develop and refine negotiations’ objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure sourcing project objectives are met
  • Successfully graduating the training plan attached to the position and the tasks;
  • Developing and updating the working procedures periodically;
  • Training other team members regarding the daily tasks whenever necessary and requested by the line manager;
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovative solutions and communicate to line manager;

  • 3+ years’ experience in customer and/or supplier facing roles
  • Be able to interact with the 3rd parties (e-mails, phone calls) independently
  • Be able to handle a request end-to-end (from receiving the request to closure of the negotiation)
  • Knowledge of negotiation tactics and sourcing specific tools (TCO, Clean Sheet etc.)
  • Strong command of a foreign language other than English to facilitate communication with suppliers (optional, however represents a plus)
