Android Software Developer

Position Overview Statement

• Working closely with Product Management on design and development of sub-systems and features for Voice Communication Systems (Air Traffic Control, Maritime, Emergency services);
• Design and Development is done in accordance with industry specific design, quality and development standards (Requirements, Coding Rules, Code reviews, Documentation).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Developing software for low latency voice communication applications;
• Responsible for developing and applying quality standards to the developed software, writing requirements;
• Produce well documented code, participate in code reviews, and provide timely status to Product Management;

Requirements

• University degree in computer science or comparable education or experience;
• Programming experience in C/C++, some scripting language and Linux, at least 3 years;
• Experience with Android SDK and NDK (experience with Android Native Audio is a plus)
• Experience with open source cross-compiler tools – gcc, gdb;
• Good English skills;
• Excellent communication skills (written, and verbal);
• Understanding of voice communication networks and signaling concepts is a plus.
