JOB TITLE: FIELD BIOLOGIST
Job Purpose
To plan, execute and report a trials program assigned to him/her by the FTM. To develop specialist knowledge in a specific subject/technical area and provide guidance and training to other staff in this topic.
Nature Of The Position
The job holder will be responsible directly for 20-25 field trials per year. The Job holder will also supervise 1-2 assistants or temporary staff and provide specialist training and advice to others outside their direct team.
Key Accountabilities
Develops a detailed action plan for own trials program, and executes the trials successfully to meet the customers’ requirements/objectives and reporting deadlines following local official GEP guidelines.
Plans and liaises with the Site Manager/farmers and suppliers the correct and timely provision of land/crop, chemicals/seeds and other recourses to ensure the success of the trials.
Captures, summarizes and interprets individual trial data for reports to customers/PMs/GAMs as well as keeping INSITE up-dated throughout the season.
Maintains an up to-date technical awareness of and provides training and advice on their specialist area of expertise to other staff/colleagues. Eg fungicide seed treatment.
Ensures that all personal work is conducted to the required legal and company safety standards, and strictly conforms to official GLP and GEP guidelines (as appropriate).
Manages, trains and motivates assistant(s)/temp staff, so that they execute their jobs safely, accurately and efficiently

În acest moment suntem în cautarea doi absolvenți de studii agronomice (inginer agronom, inginer horticol) pentru a ocupa două posturi disponibile de "Field biologist" în cadrul companiei nostre.
- Planifică, execută și supervizează experiențele (în câmp) ce îi sunt încredințate conform protocoalelor.
- Execută un număr de 20-25 experiențe anual.
- Asigură buna desfășurare, conform bunelor practici agricole a experiențelor/loturilor.
- Se ocupă de lucrările necesare execuției experiențelor: pichetare, delimitare parcele, aplicare tratamente fitosanitare etc.
- Face determinări de patogeni în cadrul experiențelor de câmp: buruieni, boli, dăunători.
- Face observații în câmp pe durata experiențelor și redactează rapoartele de testare.
- Studii superioare în domeniul agronomic sau al protecției plantelor. Ex: inginer agronom, inginer horticol, biolog.
- Cunoștințe de limba Engleză vorbit și scris.
- Permis categoria B.

- Typically the job holder will have a BSc, or equivalent qualification in either Agriculture or Biological Sciences plus five years practical field experience and be a recognized internal expert on a given technical subject eg fungicide seed treatment.
- The jobholder should also have good written/verbal English/local language communication skills.
- Category B driving license.
